Every surface above runs on the same spine: your uploads ground each reply, independent guardrails screen every exchange, and mastery updates with every quiz.

For students · grades 8–12 & undergraduate

Two tutors. One standard of proof.

Join a teacher's class with a code, or upload your own notes and study solo — either way, both tutors work from the real material, and your knowledge map tracks what you've mastered.

Socratic Tutor

Teaches by questioning — never hands over the answer.

A streaming tutor grounded in the real course material. It answers questions with better questions, checks your reasoning at each step, and only moves on when you can show the idea holds.

Synapse AI

Explains directly — without doing your work for you.

When you need the concept laid out plainly, Synapse teaches it straight — clear explanations built from your own uploads. It explains the method, never the specific answer to the problem in front of you.

AI Autograder

Feedback in seconds — rubric-based grading with instant formative feedback.

AI Autograder · Problem Set 4 · rubric

States the null and alternative hypotheses2 / 2
Applies the correct test statistic2 / 2
Interprets the p-value in context1 / 2

Your interpretation says the p-value is "the chance the null is true" — revisit what it actually conditions on. One point recoverable on regrade.

For teachers & institutions

Teach with the material you already trust.

Create a course, upload authentic material, and share a join code. The AI plans with you, writes assessments with you, and shows you how every student is doing.

Lesson planning

Draft a teachable plan from your own material.

Lesson Plan AI turns your uploads and goals into a structured plan — objectives, sequencing, and an in-class activity — that you steer in a chat and refine until it's yours.

Lesson Plan AI · Week 5 · Hypothesis Testing

Learning objectives

State null and alternative hypotheses for a claim
Choose the right test statistic for the data
Interpret a p-value without overclaiming

In-class activity: in pairs, students design a study that could NOT reject the null — then defend why that outcome is still informative.

Quiz formation

Assessments with full answer keys, not just questions.

Quiz AI writes questions grounded in what you actually taught, complete with answer keys and the reasoning behind every distractor — ready to review, edit, and assign.

Cohort analytics — per-student strengths & gaps

See how each student is doing, topic by topic.

Every quiz and check-in updates a mastery view for the whole class and for each student — where they're strong, where the gaps are — so the next lesson targets real needs, and the tutoring each student gets is personalized to them.

Why us?

AI that enhances human intelligence.

EdSynapse is built on one conviction: AI should grow what people can do — deepen understanding, expand potential, and serve each learner's purpose. That conviction is engineered into every reply, for both sides of the classroom.

For students

Understanding that sticks.

  • Every reply is grounded in your own course material, so you study what your exam actually covers — never generic content.

  • Two tutors match how you're stuck: the Socratic Tutor builds your reasoning by questioning; Synapse AI explains the concept straight.

  • A personal knowledge map shows your strengths and gaps topic by topic, so revision time goes where it matters.

For teachers

See every gap. Keep every hour.

  • Lesson Plan AI and Quiz AI draft from your uploads — plans with objectives and activities, assessments with full answer keys.

  • Cohort analytics show mastery per student, per topic, in real time — so the next lesson targets real needs, not guesses.

  • Guardrails you can trust in class: the tutors never hand over answers, and nothing a student tells a tutor reaches you.

Engineered for learning

Every reply runs through a teaching pipeline built for one outcome — durable human understanding:

Guardrails that audit every reply

Independent AI classifiers screen what goes into a tutor and what comes out — so the learner always does the thinking, and every reply is checked before it's seen.

Assessment built on Bloom's taxonomy

Quizzes are planned, written, and graded against Bloom's levels — a result says what KIND of understanding a student showed, not just a percentage.

Memory with boundaries

Tutors remember how each student learns — shared between both tutors, scoped to one course, and never visible to the teacher or another course.

Grounded in your material, with citations

Replies are built from an indexed corpus of your actual uploads and cite the file they teach from — with learning records resident in Canada and never used to train models.

What is EdSynapse?+

A personalized tutoring platform for teachers and students — grades 8–12 and undergraduate. You — or your teacher — upload real course material, and every lesson, quiz, and tutoring conversation is grounded in it. Two AI tutors teach it: the Socratic Tutor by questioning, Synapse AI by direct explanation — and mastery is tracked topic by topic.

Who is it for?+

Students from grade 8 through undergraduate, and their teachers. Students can join a teacher's class with a code or study solo on their own uploads; teachers get lesson planning, quiz formation, and cohort analytics with per-student strengths and gaps.

Is EdSynapse free?+

There's a real free plan on both sides: students learn free forever, and teachers get the full portal free with up to 2 enrolled students. Paid plans — student Pro and Max, the per-student teacher model, and institutional pricing — are laid out on the pricing page.

Is my data used to train AI models?+

Never. Your course material, conversations, and student work are not used to train AI models — EdSynapse's or Google's. Your data powers your own learning, nothing else.

Where is my data stored?+

Learning records — profiles, courses, quiz attempts, knowledge states — are stored in Canada. AI features run on Google Cloud and stay within Canada and the US. The privacy policy has the full picture.

Will the AI just do the work for students?+

No — the design exists to prevent exactly that. The Socratic Tutor teaches by questioning and never hands over answers; Synapse AI explains concepts but never computes the specific answer to the problem at hand. Independent guardrails check every reply before a student sees it.

Can schools and universities roll it out?+

Yes. Institutional rollouts add an admin console, course oversight, and dedicated support, with SSO on the roadmap. A pilot is one conversation — reach us through the contact page.

Ready when you are.

Set up a classroom in minutes, or study solo on your own material. Free to start — for students and teachers alike.
